GARY'S MONTANA SUMMER WORKSHOPS

LEARN GARY'S PAINTING TECHNIQUES FOR:
Bold Rocks
Alpine Wildflowers
Dramatic Cascading Water
and Serene, Reflective Mountain Lakes

Gary will conduct a series of 5-day watercolor workshops
on Montana's beautiful Flathead Lake, near Glacier National Park:

June 4th–8th, 2012
June 11th–15th, 2012
June 18th–22nd,
2012
June 25th–29th, 2012

These will be held at the Glacier Conference Center's Spruce Lodge, just 18 miles south of Kalispell, Montana.  This lodge provides the perfect scenic and remote setting for Gary's workshops.  It is a large, modern, log structure on acres of beautiful wooded shoreline, overlooking Flathead Lake and the dramatic Swan and Mission Mountains—a truly inspirational setting!

A lodging/meal package is available at the Spruce Lodge, as well—at a very reasonable rate.  We highly recommend staying at the lodge as it provides the best value for lodging/meals and will help maximize your overall workshop experience.

The 5-day workshop, itself, will combine Gary's passion and expertise in painting dramatic wilderness scenes with his well-known PBS easy-to-follow teaching style.  Between his watercolor  demonstrations, Gary will be available to provide individual assistance to his students.  And, Gary's wife, Marlene, will be on hand to provide help, as well.

These workshops are designed for ALL LEVELS of painters—just as Gary's television programs are.  In many ways, the novice painter benefits the most, as they tend to arrive without a pre-established painting style.

After 5-days of fun, painting and learning at the Spruce Lodge, the workshop will conclude with the popular farewell reception at Gary & Marlene's home and private studio, just 3 miles away, near Lakeside, Montana.

NW Montana is a vacation wonderland!  The workshop site will be just over one-hour's drive from Glacier National Park.  We certainly encourage visitors to extend their stay, before or after the workshop, to visit this "Crown Jewel" of our national parks.

This region is also known for its world-class golf, fly-fishing, whitewater rafting, alpine hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, and more—all with Montana's legendary laidback and friendly atmosphere.

Both Glacier International Airport (Delta, United, Horizon, Allegiant) and Amtrak offer easy access, from anywhere, to the Kalispell area.

Here are some words from Gary's previous workshop participants:

The location was nothing less than - spectacular!

.....all the extras added so much to the experience
....the reception at your beautiful home,
and yes those fabulous Huckleberry bars!

.....a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding experience!

.....I really can’t say much more than Arnold’s famous words – "I’ll be back"!

Gary and his wife, Marlene, were very accommodating and kind.

Someone in our class.....had never done watercolor before
and did a fantastic job,
mostly due to Gary's great step-by-step instruction!

...it was FABULOUS!  I highly recommend it to people!

...thank you for all the time, effort, talent and love you put into the workshop.

I am very pleased with  how much I learned about landscapes
and watercolor in general.  Thank you!

I had a great time!

Gary's teaching style is relaxed and well-planned.

You put a lot of time and thought into the workshop and certainly made it easy
for a novice like me!

Thank you for a great workshop!  I and all the others enjoyed it immensely...

You both did a super  job of teaching and helping us learn!

I feel as if I absorbed 20 years of experience in a week....

Just want you to know that I had a blast!!  Don't go changin' a thing!!

...You both did an excellent job pulling a very diverse group of people together for one purpose
... and I think everyone grew!
