By accident, I came across this music video gem and learned some interesting things about both “relatively” unknown artists, Dan Seals and Cheryl Wheeler.
I was not aware that “England Dan” (of England Dan & John Ford Coley fame) was the younger brother of Jim Seals (of Seals & Croft fame). Sadly, he died of cancer in 2009 at the age of 61. He’s probably best known for the songs I’d Really Love To See You Tonight and the Marie Osmond duo, Meet Me In Montana.
Addicted (above) is a Cheryl Wheeler written song that he once recorded. Here, they perform together back in 2008. Wheeler, I have since learned, is quite an underrated singer/songwriter. Below, is another example of her great work:
I could not find a live version of Cheryl Wheeler singing the above song, but I think it is one that best shows off her vocal and lyricist skills.
