Now that the spring runoff is well over, the lake has really cleared up. We can easily see down into it 25 feet or so. This makes for some interesting views when you approach the steep rocky shores.

Luckily, I’m picking up the slack.
When The Circus Comes To Town
When our 2 kids, 2 kid-in-laws, 4 grandkids, and their 4 dogs come to town, it’s a week long circus. It gets loud and the house gets trashed. The quiet, simple, tidy, orderly life that Marlene and I live gets tipped end over end.
But the circus never stays. They always move on and back to their own lives. When they leave, we sigh in relief. Then we scrub and sweep and vacuum and piece our house back together and resume our quiet, simple, tidy, and orderly existence.
Soon after that we miss them again—a lot.
