Marlene was enjoying pointing out the distant bison to the grand-kids … that is until she read the signage.
Background: she does not like even being in the same room as a “photograph” of a garter snake.

I am already missing those warm summer mornings on Flathead Lake. Often a fishing session would be followed by a morning snorkel. Though on the cool side, the lake did get up to 71 degrees by mid-summer. I never encountered any tropical fish, but the water was clear enough to depict interesting rock formations, fascinating under-the-lake-surface reflections, and its own array of vivid colors. Here is a short sample clip of what it looks like along Cedar Island.
PS: If you view it in “full screen,” make sure that you crank the resolution all the way up to 1080p (little cog icon, lower right).

A short (2-1/2 minutes) summer sunrise boat ride from West Shore State Park to the north end of Cedar Island, on beautiful Flathead Lake. This body of water is truly magical when it is calm and reflective!
PS: To be in the boat, this really needs to be viewed “full screen” with 1080p resolution (little cog icon, lower right).

A video with a lot of wry self-deprecation and a little early morning fishing—all on beautiful Flathead Lake.

I woke up too late to see the “green comet,” but I did catch this great sunrise.
