New Shoes
A recent minor surgery is keeping me off of the X Country skis for a few weeks. So, for now, I walk.
But I don’t mind. These things are kind of fun.
Skiing In The Rain
Marlene and I went cross-country skiing in a light rain on Christmas Day.
I might think global warming if it weren’t 30 below just a couple of nights ago. Didn’t feel like global warming then, at all. In fact, that is as cold as I can remember it being here, in 20 years.

A forecast of warm weather and no snow, pretty much makes this the last day of XCountry skiing for the season.

BTW, you can see in the distance behind me a low fog bank. This is a classic NW Montana inversion day with thick fog in the valley below and full sun up on the mountains. When we’re socked in at home, we often look at the mountaintop webcam for shadows — not unlike groundhogs, I suppose.
