Each winter they drop the level of Flathead Lake about 10 feet. This allows it to receive the rapid springtime mountain snow-melt runoff.

She accidentally followed our granddaughter over a small jump on that day. The takeoff was superb. The landing… not so much. A week of heat pads followed — the perils of going airborne.
