It is Summer, 11am, August 28th, on Flathead Lake, Montana. The weather is perfect. The forecast is the same.
There is not another boat on the water within view or earshot. The marina is near empty. This is one of the largest lakes in the country and is arguably one of the most beautiful and most clear.
Don’t tell anyone.

A pastel morning sky to celebrate a new day. Crayons to inspire creativity. My grandfather’s Santa Maria lamp to illuminate big and adventurous ideas. His nautical cigar ashtray to remind me to tack into the wind. And an unseen cup of coffee to fuel the neurons.
