You would think being the only boat out there, we would be catching all of the trout. Not the case. Nada. We did, however, catch some great fall sky footage over Danke Schoen Bay (Flathead Lake, Montana).

We just came upon this old photo depicting our granddaughter doing her uncanny, fist-clenching James Cagney impersonation. She, apparently, does not care much for paparazzi.

Wildhorse Loop

We took advantage of a picture perfect day to hike the Wildhorse Island loop. This “wild,” undeveloped state park is a mere 2-miles from where we park our boat. It has the distinction of being the largest freshwater island west of Lake Superior’s Isle Royale.

Despite its name, only a handful of wild horses reside there. But, it does host over one hundred bighorn sheep.
