After an 8-day frigid weather hiatus, wine-by-the-outdoor-fire hour is back!
Once Upon A Time

It is the final day of the deep freeze (for the winter, I think). One more day of being cooped up, so one more day of reviewing my “sky photos” from last fall.
Once upon a time there was a bustling lumber-mill town on the north end of Flathead Lake. These old, decaying dock pilings are remnants of those days.
I am fascinated by the bird’s-eye view of this clear lake — its colors and patterns.
Brrrrr!

Into The Fog

When we wake up to winter inversion fog, we usually check the Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort webcam to see how high the fog reaches. We are at 3,200′ and they top out at 7,000′
Sometimes, by driving up 2,000′ to 4,000′, we can get above the fog and into full sunlight. However, sun does not look to be in the cards this morning.
I know, I live in the Northwest (mountains, tall trees, and fog). What do I expect?
