Boredom & Crescent Wrench

We just watched the great, late actor, Brian Dennehy in one of his last movies, Driveways.

Of course, it reminded me of a favorite movie clip—an excerpt from the Disney depiction of Farley Mowat’s 1963 autobiography Never Cry Wolf. This scene stars Brian as an Alaska bush pilot who is having a short, philosophical discussion with Tyler (the Farley character played by Charles Martin Smith).

First Flathead Lake Voyage

We were on Flathead Lake for 5 hours this morning and never encountered another boat. Amazing!

Having said that, I made sure I had two propulsion sources. A mechanical on this big lake could be problematic.
