What a concept from the late, great Carl Sagan.
Skepticism of so-called “settled science” is science.
Always question. Always challenge. Is this forgotten in this creeping era of censorship?

The writers for The Simpsons came up with this back in 2010.
Did some of them go on to work for the NIH, CDC, and WHO?
Is it a merely a coincidence that “cats” rhymes with “bats”?

I never fully appreciated the music artistry of Daryl Hall until his post-peak-career-years, when he began producing an online series called Live From Daryl’s House. He hosted a wide range of guest musicians in his barn/studio. They mixed their music and this clip is typical of what came out.
Here’s a great rendition of his popular I Can’t Go For That (aka No Can Do) with The O’Jays.

If you haven’t seen his skits, comedian Ryan George has a very clever, insightful way of dissecting movie plots (whether you have an interest in the particular movie or not).

Talk about standing behind your product! Our 20-something-year-old Trex deck was failing, so the Trex company provided us with all new decking material (much improved from their original product).
Marlene and I decided to take on the replacement of the decking ourselves, but found significant structural water damage along the way. So, we basically rebuilt most of the underlying deck as well. Being ten feet off of the ground, this was not an easy task.
Miraculously, we were blessed with nearly a month of perfect, sunny fall weather. And, as an added bonus, I have found deck building to be a great weight loss program.
